However, since time is relative, as a certain Albert Einstein once noted, we cannot provide a pinpoint illustration of our facts, figures, and data. Moreover, this form of presentation better illustrates that the development time required for in-manas was more of a “well-rounded affair” for us.

How everything started

More than 30 years in the consulting world: And somewhere along the line, it suddenly dawned on us

More than 30 years in the consulting world

For over three decades, we worked in the field of consultancy. During this immensely exciting and fascinating period, we sought to support both small and large companies in consolidating or even strengthening their competitive position — displaying plenty of commitment and using brilliant concepts, innovative tools, and ingenious processes.

And then three special meetings took place

As part of a series of interviews, we met with

  • big data expert Prof Viktor Mayr-Schönberger (University of Oxford),
  • former Chief Technology Advisor at IBM Germany, Prof Martin Welsch, and
  • Prof Luc Steels, one of the leading experts in artificial intelligence (University of Brussels).

One thing became clear to them following these meetings: that digitisation was set to change the world and with it the economy much more radically than they had previously imagined. They desperately wanted to know what opportunities and risks digitisation might bring for companies.

Up to this point, they had always looked at other companies and industries and wondered what changes digitisation might bring to them. But they never posed the question of what digitisation might mean for their own (!) industry — the consulting world.

 

And somewhere along the line, it suddenly dawned on us

However, thanks to exciting conversations and intensive discussions with innovators, professors, entrepreneurs, and colleagues, we gradually realised that digitisation could open new and diverse opportunities for companies to solve strategic problems themselves using digital tools. But at the same time, this would mean that a large portion of the consulting world as we know it today would disappear.

On the one hand, this was a frightening thought. On the other, however, we and some of our colleagues and friends also recognised the exciting challenge that this presented: We didn’t want to “be” changed. Rather, we wanted to be the ones encouraging change through independent innovation!

And from this motivation came our vision

We wanted to develop the first digital assistant in the world that

  • decision-makers and managers alike could call upon to increase the performance of their own company themselves through the use of intelligent digital solutions,
  • companies could use to establish a competitive advantage over rivals in a forward-thinking manner,
  • could help companies to save money on expensive consulting services and staff training.

After an exciting, intensive, and educational period, we can now present the result: in-manas: intelligent management solutions.

What we’re already racking our brains about today

Even though in-manas is already offering companies unique opportunities today to intelligently increase their performance, we have only taken the first few steps on this fascinating journey into the world of smart management.

We are convinced that topics such as

  • digital use of collective intelligence,
  • clever networking with international top accelerators and innovative start-ups,
  • integration of artificial intelligence into day-to-day management, etc.
